I think tipping is the right mechanism:
- based on gratitude
- permissionless action taken by a sovereign individual 
- happens in real time (present moment)

the only problem is the financialization. I think the next interesting experiments here will incorporate non-transferrability, reputation, and staking/yield

If you have an onchain representation of the reputation you want, we can put this together with tiered hats pretty quickly. Las time I set it up took about 15 minutes

even if financialization is unavoidable, which i think it is, tying it inextricably to the social graph makes it feel more like social capital. means you have to be willing to burn a whole identity.

yes, that's why we started offchain verifiable via farcast protocol with /tipster -- would love to power it up w/ hats claim based on thresholds or hats based permissions for tipping allowance next.  Know any communities here that would be interested in piloting that?
