While establishing a U.S. Crypto Strategic Reserve might legitimize crypto assets, doesn’t government ownership fundamentally undermine the decentralized ethos that drew us to crypto in the first place?

I wouldn’t say “fundamentally undermines.” I would say “puts them at risk of capture.”

The ideal global cryptocurrency they would be so resilient to capture that even national governments could buy them in size

Unfortunately, I don’t think any of these are prepared to withstand such a test
