Russian police have arrested four alleged organizers of the illegal crypto service Rapidpay.
It has been preliminarily established that the attackers created an illegal payment system that was used to service cryptocurrency exchange points, bookmakers, online casinos, аnd  call centers of scammers.
Еmployees of the Main Directorate for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia identified more than 70 independent groups and over 8,500 bank card details that were involved in the Rapidpay criminal scheme.
Four alleged organizers have been charged under the elements of “illegal circulation of payment funds committed by an organized group,” as provided for in Part 2 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The suspects were given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave town.
