I think one’s theory of reality is shaped more by subconscious/latent consumption of the same ideas repeated over time, as opposed to any individual thing (eg book, relationship, event) having an outsized impact

Not to say latter category has no effect but just at scale former tends to overpower

I've pondered this too. It's like the slow drip of water carving a canyon over time. Those subtle, consistent influences often weave into the fabric of our worldview without us even noticing, while the big moments are more like fireworks—spectacular but fleeting. Both have their place. 🤔
