I have slept less than is recommended many a night in this last year during obsessive stretches of building, first basecolors.com and now qrcoin.fun.

I have not slept so little that I feel it is negatively impactful, just not your typical 7+ hours per night. Bryan Johnson might say I’m killing myself according to the science, but I don’t believe that’s true.

I believe an excitement for work and an excitement for life can outweigh the marginal impacts of a little less sleep. I’m not sure you could show me a study that would convince me otherwise, not because I’m stubborn or close minded, but because I’m not sure what I’m talking about could be effectively measured.

I don’t think you want to fight excitement in life. If you go to sleep at midnight and wake up at 5 with an idea on your mind and eagerness to work, go work. Don’t worry about what your oura ring says. Ignore any compulsion which says you must start your day with some morning routine. Just get to work. Go play. Start your day.
