There are two types of memories in computer:
Primary storages such as RAM and cache store data temporarily while secondary storages like hard disks and floppies(if exist😁) are separable and store data permanently.

Cache is so much faster because it is smaller and can be used for those data that are used frequently however RAM has more space and can be used for storing data temporarily before storing them in long-term memories

I never understand what cache using for? when RAM working same role
