For sure similarities, but also major differences

Everyone is only a couple clicks away from becoming an artist or collector on a globally connected network

It's def arguable but that fundamental approachability and accessibility means that the possibility of getting outsized recognition (and the mkt price appreciation from the increased demand that usually comes with) is always there in a way that it isn't in the trad art world

Just like the irl art space only few command the highest levels of $, a smaller subset middle $ the rest is are just ignored until they’re not

Great example of how niche communities can drive strong PMF and sales for specific NFT projects. Masks of Luci seems to have found its audience well.
