The idea and code are forkable but early community/culture for sure is not Totally get it but the flippancy of this stance is insanely irksome since it’s either a reflection of how you actually think (in which case doesn’t speak well to someone building a social protocol) or pure gaslighting to deflect a legit critique of the issue at hand or some benign middle (most likely lmao)

There's a big difference between a legitimate critique that comes across as strong but civil vs. vicious personal attack. Nipping in the bud now prevents the rapid descent into even worse behavior. Broken window theory 101 And while we're here, your own assumption / accusation on how I think in your reply reflects poorly on you.

Yeah absolutely valid counter and the change was inevitable The flippancy of “just fork off” can definitely be interpreted in various ways tho, from very negative to positive with a big middle As I wrote above I think the most likely truth is a benign middle BUT the standalone flippancy without supporting evidence lets folks fill in the unknown with facts and assumptions available to them Can’t have your cake and eat it too Anyways it’s got the folks talking and based on what I’ve seen regardless the side folks are on debate has remained thoughtful and interesting
