I don’t have a strong view on that. Imo it can be either, or a hybrid.

I do think long-term incentive alignment is important which is typically best achieved w a token.

Do consumer apps tend to look like startups, with VC backing and a company that controls development and earns revenues via take rate? Or can they look more like blockchain protocols, where contribution is open to anyone, network ownership is tokenized and includes user stakeholders as token holders via distribution mechanisms?
