It’s fundamentally based on actual webs of real trust coordinated right now over rudimentary things like shared bank accounts and WhatsApp groups and pens and paper. Latent new economic arrangements for daily life and social reproduction  waiting to be given a more ergonomic form factor to inhabit

These are much more than lotteries. These are people’s entire social life and economic lives packaged into one. Their entire community is like one social economic organism that looks out for the pack, pools resources, provides social safety net
