Increasing the number of people Farcaster is reaching without having solved retention (which is a function of supply of interesting and entertaining content) is a recipe for wasting money and time.

I've never understood this argument, but you make it often: 1. It's a waste of time and money to draw new people to Farcaster until retention improves 2. Retention is a function of having good content 3. Therefore, let's not draw anyone new to Farcaster. If we buy your assertion in premise 2, that retention is a function of good content, then how do you get more good content without onboarding new creators? Yes you can squeeze existing users for more content, but don't you also need a denser network of interesting content creators, too.

I see the point quality content is function of dedicated quality casters rather than quantity of casters. It does make more sense to cater to the people who make the feed worth scrolling for a while. I felt the way you did before, but after the "pew pew" era, my opinion has changed.

when i started casting there was a boiling pot of users (in my case this is almost synonymous with artists) that casted great content (aka art, or art related info). Now, almost all of them are gone. And before you say d-e-g-e-n, no they left because they were invisible. The FAFO with visibility pushed them away. Most of them basically wants two things: connect with other art lovers, get their work out there. Easy. Warpcast/farcaster - you had them, learning something from the mistakes that pushed them away seems like a good first step.

I think he want to attract at current organic way first, and finding ways to improve content quality, marketing will come after that
