@dwr.eth Warpcast.com just deleted a draft when I clicked the channel picker again. 

I rewrote the cast, then accidentally click-selected the text, releasing the click outside of the compose modal, and it deleted my draft a second time.

I can't repro your specific issue.

I can repro the following.

1. Start cast
2. Click outside modal
3. Click outside confirmation dialog -- lose everything (we'll fix that today)

1. I am not sure what causes the Channel picker to close the compose modal and discard the draft but it happens maybe 1 in 8 times and has been confirmed by several other users. 

2. Compose a draft, click and select text, release selection OUTSIDE of the compose modal: this will prompt the dialog you mention in point 3, which offers no way to "go back" to composing. Ideally clicking the greyed out background dismisses the binary choice and let's me resume drafting

In the first case, with the compose modal open and a draft typed up, i click the channel picker and boom the compose modal closes and draft is discarded. 

It happens 1 in 8 times clicking the channel picker, roughly. Can't consistently reproduce but I wonder if cast content (@ mentions, links with embeds) are related. I'm in Brave for Mac.

What is the actual flow if you don't mind sharing? If you have a cast in the composer, open the channel selector but click off of the selector the composer should just stay open (it does for me on Chrome). I think I am missing the specific flow you are going through creating the frustrating experience for you.

i had a draft deleted by erroneously clicking on the background of page (outside of modal)

also had a draft deleted by erroneously clicking on my own avatar in the compose modal @dwr.eth
