What was the overhype? All I saw was people shipping a bunch of very real performance improvements with 10/10 security properties (unlike a certain other family.. 👀)

a) you can find a similar number of problems in pairing based snarks b) you can use more bits to have more proven bits, it doesn’t change much the proving time you have billions of dollars running over starks/fri. would love to know how you can hack practically hack them. people would pay a lot for that info 😊.

I don’t disagree! But I also think the belief not that long ago was that the world would be nova centric and that’s not borne out To be clear I’m also not a fri maxi or anything (we don’t even use fri today), just pointing out the comparison point
