Harry Potter: Uncovered Secrets

Sorry again this took long, I was dealing with a few things at the same time but:
We are going to Hogwarts… We board the scarlet train and we’re continuing our magical journey 😍
I hope you paid attention to the clips and the book! Because it’s gonna have a lot of interesting things:

1. So Hagrid leaves Harry in the station according to the movie, but as I mentioned in the previous episode, Harry comes back home to Dursleys’ and stays there for a month!

2. August passed by full of Dursleys’ fear and ignorance for Harry, he named his owl Hedwig 

📝I’m sure you are noticing a lot of names that start with ‘H’

3. On the last day of August Harry asks Vernon to take him to King Cross station, Harry tells him that he needs to be at platform 9 ¾ which makes Vernon get angry

📝We read that Vernon mentions the “magic carpet” which is interesting for Dursley’s using this term because as you remember (first ever page) they didn’t hold for such nonsense 🙂

4. At last Vernon agrees to give Harry a lift because it was on their way to a hospital to surgically remove Dudley’s pigtail

📝So Hagrid’s magic on Dudley which went poorly still was there and the Dursleys didn’t want a magical cure for it, but they were going to do the surgery exactly a day before the schools’ terms started… I mean… What about Dudley’s recovery time? How is he supposed to sit  anywhere with a scar on his bum? 🙂

5. Harry buys a huge trunk for his school things, and it’s really important 😍 But I won’t give away anything right now 😉

7. This dialogue is unnecessary imo: (pic)
I mean… There are 7 Weasley children, they have been on the platform so many times, asking about it is so odd!

8. Here we read for the first time the name of the love of Harry's life (Ginny) but she only has one line in the whole movie “Good luck!”

📝 From 10:50 (Harry sees the Weasleys) to the moment that the train’s whistle blows, the book is read in 9mins and 17secs and I think this is wrong:
In the second book the train leaves at exactly 11:00 AM and Harry and Ron missed it and a whole lot of different things happened because of that, BUT here, in 10mins, we read Harry watches the Weasley family, then gets help, then he goes to the platform, searches for a compartment and trying to lift his trunk drops it twice and after this the twins help him and Harry listens to a long conversation between the Weasleys? All in just 10 mins? I mean… the train is big enough to carry hundreds of people, searching for an empty car takes at least 3mins, wouldn’t it?

9. Idk if you noticed but this part of the platform is really odd imo:(pics)

📝So here’s a bit of trivia for you, maybe you were wondering what the number 5972 on Hogwarts Express is doing there!
It's the identification number. All steam locomotives were numbered, and many of them were also named. The locomotive used in the Harry Potter films was one of the GWR (Great Western Railway) “Hall” class : to be precise, it was “Olton Hall”, a preserved locomotive which was - and still is - numbered 5972

The Harry Potter Museum
GWR 4900 Class 5972 Olton Hall used as the Hogwarts express. The locomotive is now on static display at The Harry Potter Museum at Warner Brothers Studios in Leavesden, near Watford and will remain there in the museum for two years. This is her from when she left service to her current display

10. Harry’s sitting in a compartment, and Ron joins him, but he won’t introduce himself to Harry (like in the movie) the Weasley twins came in and introduced everyone

11. We read Bill and Charlie names (Ron’s other brothers) BUT 📝interestingly we never see Charlie ever in any movies despite his important role in the first book!🤔

12. We see the infamous Scabbers here which is really important for the 3rd book and the rest of them, this rat’s history is a very long and crucial part of the whole HP story but we need to wait!

13. At 12:30 AM the trolley witch comes along and Harry sees all the magical sweets and no Muggle ones, he buys a lot of them to share with Ron

📝 The trolley witch is very important for the “HP and the Cursed Child” play (after the last book)

14. When Harry opens his first ever Chocolate Frog, the frog doesn't run away (but the animated frog in the movie is a nice touch that could have been in the book imo) he reads the card with info about Albus Dumbledore which is cut here and will know about it much later in the movie, 103mins 40secs in

15. In the movie, Ron says he has 6 Dumbledore cards, but in the movie he says he has 6 cards of Morgana

🤣📝Ok, about the “Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavour Beans”, forgive me to say but if they have the ear-wax flavour, does that mean they have poop flavour too? 😂jus' sayin'…📝🤣

16. In the book, Neville first comes to look for his toad, then he comes again with Hermione but in the movie we don’t see Neville till later

17. The dud spell that Ron uses is given to him by George but in the movie he says that Fred gave him that

18. In the book, Hermione doesn’t repair Harry’s glasses with magic, the first time we see the mending charm is in the 4th book, so I’m guessing it was constructed specifically for the movie

19. Ron tells Harry about the break-in to Gringotts on the train but we hear about it in the movie later

20. After some time Ron talking about Quidditch, Draco and his friends come in to see Harry and it ends in an unpleasantness (we see this in the movie a bit later) and Scabbers bites Goyle’s finger which will be reminded in the 3rd book

21. Ron says to Harry that the Malfoys were one of those families who turned back when Voldemort vanished

22. In the book Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville sit in a boat together but in the movie Hermione is in another boat and Dean is sitting with Harry, Ron and Neville

6. So in the book and movie we see that Harry is worried about finding the 9 ¾ platform
The Dursleys are cruel and grinning at the fate of Harry leaving him in King’s Cross which they hope he’ll never come back from

📝So Petunia has been on platform 9 ¾ at least once with her family (book 7) so why is she laughing in the book? She knows that the platform exists and she knows how to get to it, so why won't she tell Harry how to do it? Either she’s so jealous and angry or she’s just pretending!
This needs more discussion imo 🤔
