Every year at the end of the year, the atmosphere in my house becomes more bustling, because my father starts preparing for Tet.

Decorations, cakes, candies, jars of pickled onions, fruits and even some fragrant and spicy ginger jam... Oh of course kumquat and peach trees are indispensable. Dad said: "If Tet doesn't have kumquat trees, peach trees, or flashing lights, you won't see the smell of Tet." 

Every time he brought things home, dad happily arranged and arranged them, sometimes even calling me to help. Just like that, every year dad is the one who starts the Tet atmosphere in the house. Watching my dad prepare, I realized the simple happiness in taking care of my family.

The items he chose and the potted plants he brought home made me feel like Tet is always full of peace, togetherness and completeness.
