Soon my parents will be old...
When I was little, I thought my parents were "superheroes", always strong, doing everything without getting tired.
But the older I get, I realize my dad also has days when he comes home with tired eyes and heavy shoulders. Mom also had times when she quietly massaged her aching hands. Dad was no longer as quick to climb up to fix the roof as before, so Mom had to ask me to help her get her glasses to read the small letters.
Time truly does not spare anyone, its traces are imprinted on every wrinkle on the hands and face.
It's impossible to hold back time, but I can do things differently, by cherishing every moment with my parents. A greeting, a meal together, a tight hug, thank you parents for always being here... 0 reply
