When someone asks me what my passion is, I always answer: “Boba tea”. Boba tea (or Bubble tea) is a yummy drink originated from Taiwan. The drink consists of tea, tapioca balls (pearls) and other sweet toppings like pudding, jelly, cheese,… Boba tea has a variety of flavors to choose from. Two most popular flavors are Oolong milk tea black pearls and Green milk tea black pearls. Boba tea is the most popular across Asia, especially China, Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore,… The drink is beloved among young people for its sweetness and the diversity of flavors. People love having boba tea in between meals, usually in the afternoon. Having boba tea with friends is a great bonding activity. I believe that boba tea is the best drink and I will try more flavors. 0 reply

Vietnamese cuisine is one of the most versatile cuisines in the world. It is characterized by the balance in the flavor of the food.
Of all the delicious dishes, my favorite is Bun Thang. It is a rice noodle soup with various toppings. The word “thang” in the dish’s name means “dose”, as in the dose of Oriental medicine. Don’t worry, it has nothing to do with medicine. The reason for the name is because in a dose of Oriental medicine, there are small amounts of many different herbs, similar to small amounts of toppings. This rice noodle dish contains shredded chicken, thinly sliced fried egg, thinly sliced gio-also known as pork roll, shrimp flake, dried shiitake mushroom, and dried radish. The most crucial component of this dish is the broth. The broth must be clear, with the umami mainly coming from chicken stock, and most importantly, dried squid. Bun thang is served with Vietnamese coriander and culantro, adding a nice aroma to the dish. 0 reply

As a culinary enthusiast, I am thrilled to delve into the rich and aromatic world of pho, Vietnam’s beloved noodle soup. Pho, with its sweet broth and deliciously chewy noodles, has become my favorite dish. One cannot talk about pho without mentioning the noodles – silky strands that slurp up the savory broth with ease, offering a comforting chewiness in every bite. Whether it’s the traditional flat rice noodles or the slightly thicker round ones, each variation adds its own charm to the dish.
Of course, no bowl of pho is complete without the accompaniments – fresh herbs like Thai basil, cilantro, and lime, along with crunchy bean sprouts and fiery slices of chili. These garnishes not only enhance the flavors but also add a vibrant visual appeal to the dish.
Pho is more than just a meal, it embodies the essence of Vietnamese cuisine – simple yet sophisticated, humble yet bold. And for me, savoring a steaming bowl of pho is not just about nourishing the body; it’s about feeding the soul. 0 reply

My favorite food is dim sum. Dim sum is a popular and delectable culinary tradition originating from China. It consists of bite-sized portions of food, usually served in steamer baskets or on small plates. Dim sum is renowned for its wide variety of dumplings, rolls, and small dishes, each meticulously crafted and bursting with flavors. One of the signature elements of dim sum is the dumpling. These small, delicate pockets of dough are filled with a variety of ingredients such as minced meat, seafood, vegetables, or a combination of these. Some common types of dumplings include siu mai (pork and shrimp dumplings), har gow (shrimp dumplings), and xiao long bao (soup dumplings). The dumplings are skillfully wrapped and often adorned with decorative folds, making them as visually appealing as they are delicious. 0 reply
