EigenLayer Outflows of $2.3B Signal Restaking Sector Slide Recently, many investors have pulled $2.3 billion out of EigenLayer, a platform that supports restaking. Restaking is when investors use their already staked ETH to earn extra returns. However, the returns from restaking are often lower than other options, like Ethena, which offers over 10% returns compared to Renzo's 3.43%. Over the past 30 days, EigenLayer's total value dropped by 13% to $15.1 billion, even though the price of ether remained stable. This outflow is partly due to investors chasing better rewards and the unstable nature of restaking. While platforms like Renzo and Kelp saw significant declines, ether.fi managed to increase its value by $100 million. What do you think about the future of restaking protocols? Will they bounce back, or will investors continue to seek better returns elsewhere?
