GM! A little-known fact about turtles is that they have the ability to absorb oxygen through their butts. This process is called cloacal respiration, which allows them to extract oxygen from water. This adaptation is particularly useful during hibernation when turtles are submerged in water for extended periods and need to conserve energy. π€
