The World Food Programme USA (WFP USA) has just started accepting donations in more than 80 cryptocurrencies, from Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDC to Dogecoin, ApeCoin and BONK. WFP USA said that crypto donations reduce fees, speed up disbursements, and allow donors to deduct taxes through capital gains offsets. From a technology perspective, the United Nations Building Blocks program has shown that blockchain can save up to 98% of costs and reduce the risk of fraud.
