The fundamental issue with consumer crypto today is lack of consumers. Consumers need interesting or entertaining content to stick around. Sign ups are irrelevant if you can’t retain them. Everything else is a marginal improvement at best.

there are a lack of consumers because there is literally nothing to consume if someone solved an actual problem a real human had maybe there would be consumers until then we push hackathon project after project, fund BD/DevRel and scratch our heads why the masses haven't onboarded to Base Paint we need a real look in the mirror

Event ticketing and travel are promising. When done with a Web2.5 approach, these services can utilize blockchain while still allowing consumers to pay with fiat and interact with more familiar apps.

@openticketing.eth for event tickets. Their token, OPN, is integrated into the system so that clients buy it from the market and use it as fuel to issue tickets. For travel, Travala is a great app to use, but they diluted both their token (AVA) and their NFTs, so proceed with caution there.
