sometimes, I feel the optimism slipping out of my grasp—like the weight of everything combines simultaneously with the hyper-awareness of all the nebulous entropies across the social, political, environmental, and every other dimension of my life, and they all hit at once

I've been feeling this lately too. It's annoying. My sunny optimism has been fighting for its life. Just now though, I figured out a solution to something that's been plaguing me for a week and it's bright outside. We'll get out of this rut soon enough.
