im looking forward to seeing suave consensus choice, though still early as noted on the collective forums. 

for now the consideration list 
- Hotstuff 2 (scroll, espresso, possibly zksync choice)
- Narwhal and Tusk/Bullshark
- Celestia core version of Tendermint

suave + das is kind of like a pre round of das before the final round of das on ethereum. 

noticed i didn’t mention gasper. from what i understand why its dynamic availability properties are fantastic - balancing safety and liveness with a finality gadget over the fork choice rule.

gasper still has some potential attacks that are unexplored hence Goldfish research, view merge exploration, and proposer boost change iiuc

suave may want a consensus protocol that can get them in the 400ms blocktimes territory for latency purposes which there are ways around maybe.
