Corporations should have a hybrid approach. Bottoms up authority/decision making should be allowed too - something like nullification. A manager should be allowed to override a director, a director should be allowed to override a exec and so forth [in certain and specific cases only] and be able to move forward.

Ofcourse I understand implications of this. Point is getting stuck in approval chain is biggest killer of innovation. Happy to hear otherwise.
