Bitconnect scam Bitconnect was one of the biggest cryptocurrency scams, operating like a Ponzi scheme: 🔵 Investor Attraction: Users were investing in Bitconnect and purchasing its token (BCC), with the promise of high daily returns of up to 40% per month through a so-called automated trading platform. 🔵 Referral Program: Rewards for bringing new users have driven exponential growth. 🔵 Collapse: In January 2018, a regulatory investigation led to the shutdown of Bitconnect, and BCC collapsed from $400 to almost zero.
