Thai financial regulators are making waves in Asia with possible approval of spot bitcoin ETFs. The move, reported by Bloomberg, could put Thailand at the forefront of regional cryptocurrency investment. The Secretary General of Thailand's SEC has recently emphasized the need for global adoption of digital currencies. He emphasized the importance of providing diverse digital currency investment options with strong support to investors. In 2024, Thailand allowed institutional investors to access US-domiciled Bitcoin ETFs through local funds.
