actually we already had this! was a second version of battles that people upgraded to. It didn't work how we liked so we removed it. was a little too much to think about and manage because players had to reset their villagers in battles every 6 hours. too complex for the value. plus not everything could be secret since its on the blockchain. so raiders knew how many villagers were defending resources.

it's committed as a secret on the blockchain by the defender, then it's revealed and decrypted later. resource picked doesn't have to have data onchain in the meantime because no other logic is dependent on it. But with defending with villagers, the total number of defenders had to be on the blockchain so you couldn't use those villagers elsewhere and the only thing that was decrypted was how many villagers went to food or wood. you can allocate to either/both.

That makes sense. So the main problem is the dependencies. Will think about it more then!
