I would adjust this a bit to say every new event re-kicks it all off. 07/08 did a fair share of damage to the reserve nature of the dollar, every crisis prior was also likely a weight stacking against the USD. This is a gradual transition more than abrupt one, but each gradual step gets abrupt attention
