can you help me understand why we need to stoke fire and what happens when you let it run out

just watched the video, thats what i assumed but why does it say stoking fire has a cost of .50?

it's part of the tokenomics of the game. you have to pay 50 cents in FIRE to continue building your village. thats the cost to participate in potentially getting rewards. The $FIRE spent is burned.

what “rewards”? where’s the best place to learn more about the game mechanics? 

The purpose of building a village is to be rewarded?
