Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch post-impressionist painter, a great painter who is often considered one of the most influential painters in Western art.  Van Gogh started his artistic career as a designer and painter in 1880 (AD) at the age of 27.  At first, he used dark and sad colors under the influence of Dutch paintings;  After his acquaintance with the reception and neo-receptionist movements in Paris, his artistic development accelerated.
