Jed McCaleb is someone who played a major role in the crypto world, but his name isn’t heard as often
He started out by creating a well-known exchange called Mt. Gox, which at one point was the largest Bitcoin exchange in the world (before the infamous hack though he had already sold it by then)
Later, he became one of the founding members of Ripple, playing a major role in building its early infrastructure. However, due to internal disagreements, he eventually left the project
After that, he founded Stellar, with the goal of creating an open and efficient network for transferring money especially in developing countries
Jed McCaleb is like a digital nomad, moving from one project to another, quietly working to redesign the global financial system without much noise, but with significant impact 1 reply
