The easiest system for DJs to incorporate harmonic mixing is the Camelot Wheel. This wheel shows you the strongest connections to make for each type of key. Avoid red-lining either the channel fader or the master track. If you see any of the volume indicators going into the red then it means you have the track gains too high and are distorting the signal. This degrades the audio quality and makes a nasty sound.
