Halving is a pre-programmed event in the Bitcoin protocol that happens after every 210,000 blocks are mined, or roughly once every four years. In the Bitcoin halving event, the reward miners receive for mining each block is halved. As block rewards are halved, fewer bitcoins are produced and BTC inflation decreases.✅
