very unique touch by @v to add amplification via speaker to the mix. i, too, have been keeping colleagues alert now across various startups for 20+ years. i made an investment into a co a few years ago (and had it installed in my old office in NYC) - i think they were too early and were focused on office buildings there is now a new company in the space - Span - that is specifically focused on homes https://www.span.io/

in the OG days of twitter, i loved using favstar for this i think you're right - not just cool, but a great way to really see who a person is / what they are most like / how good their humor and voice is instead of getting pieces of that picture from a stream
