One of my favorite simple ideas is "Product-led protocol development" from Dan Romero <https://danromero.org/product-led-protocols.html> TLDR: To successfully develop a new protocol, start by building a high-quality initial application that attracts a significant number of engaged users, which will in turn draw developer interest and encourage diverse, thriving client ecosystems. To take this a step further, how can you extend your protocol with new differentiating features beyond just a smart contract on some execution environment? This is one of the areas I think EigenLayer really unlocks. You can observe that where there is pleasure and the pursuit of pleasure, there is the nourishing of fear. Fear of the thing I did yesterday, fear of the pain I had a week ago; thinking about it sustains the fear. There is no ending to that pain when it is over; it is finished but I carry it over by thinking about it. So thought sustains and nourishes pleasure as well as fear. There is fear of the present, of the future, fear of death, fear of not fulfilling, fear of not being loved and wanting to be loved. There are so many fears, all created by the machinery of thought.
