Interesting to see several L2s are now below 1c for transactions. We focused on that price for a while as a competition metric, but now that we're below 1c, is it still worth looking at? What's the next interesting metric? Non-token TVL?

I’m glad you like it! The third chapter is kind of based on one of the risks vitalik warns against in his d/acc paper. What if we align but then we’re pets? I think it’s fascinating.

I think the first step is protocols to pay for them, and then when you have consolidation of voters and sort of a professionalisation of delegates then you can imagine big outside players paying delegates for influence in a protocol's governance that is then shared with delegators.

Big Q you have to answer is how much interoperability you need with other protocols - if you don't need it I'd go custom rollup. Using storage proofs you can still prove stuff about the farcaster ID registry on other chains trustlessly anyway.

Slept on issue in governance: Unpaid delegates are happy to give their opinion on discussions that arise, but not incentivized to think 0 to 1 about new policies. For this, you need paid delegates.

Makes sense. I guess this changes my question to does this particular client need guidelines? For the protocol itself I guess I agree no guidelines is probably the best.
