A simple template: 1. Goals - list the reasons or purpose you were attending 2. Themes - summarize big themes from the conference, this is the tldr. What were your unique insights? 3. Recap - a list of the sessions or events you attended. 4. Reflections - as long or as short as you want, but here you can do a little deeper and share what you learned 5. Next Steps - a list of actions you’ll be taking to incorporate your learnings back into your work >> bulleted lists are great, make it scannable >> can also add pictures >> most people do not do this, it’s a good way to stand out

If your company is sending you to a tech conference, it’s a good idea to write a short recap of your experience when you get back home. At minimum, share it with your manager with a note of thanks, or even better, share widely with your entire team, or publish to the entire internet. Companies send employees to conferences for a number of reasons including skill development, gaining insight into emerging trends, networking, business development, and sometimes just as a perk for employee retention. By sharing your reflections, not only do you spread knowledge and ideas throughout your company, but you’re also showing your company that you take learning seriously and you’ll be more likely to be considered for future opportunities.

I spend two days with Kyle from Prospera/Infinita and had all my Prospera questions answered, have been fully sovereign nerd sniped and will be joining their community. Next step is a trip to Prospera when I get back home.

you don't have to maximize profits and you'll likely make more in the long-run if you don't even try to please, try to have some fun with it.
