we built two mobile apps this year, one for Lens and /vibra for farcaster, and I can say from personal experience that it's brutal because you're competing against infinite free entertainment, so users expectations are extremely high

you could argue that the reason for building an onchain social protocol is not solely about the economic layer but also about the benefits of decentralization, such as supporting multiple clients

the other problem I see is that you are still competing to be entertaining, it can't be only about crypto

how can we compete in different verticals? It seems impossible to beat x, ticktok and instagram in its own games

imo, we MUST do something only possible with crypto if we are building on crypto protocol
