i don't think new programmers will ever fundamentally understand front end programming ever again. the AI is too strong. if something looks off, the zoomers are just gonna reprompt instead of trying to understand the underlying logic

back in my day..

Flexbox is a little overrated tbh. Would like to see more CSS Grid in the wild.

I think flexbox will always win because of mobile responsiveness 

you can do it with grid, but flexbox is easier

My criteria is simple.

1-axis (80% of the time): flex

2-axis (20% of the the time): grid

3-axis: grid + 3d transforms

I like just being able to declare `grid-template` once on the parent instead of having nested wrapper elements and prescribing `flex-grow`/ `flex-shrink` for individual children
