The issues in SF won't be solved any time soon. The influx of AI people doesn't matter. These people won't waste any of their time participating in the local politics. Fighting the establishment there is a full-time job no one will take on.
I think you just have to out live them. Time is on your side.

SF was fine before the pandemic created the ghost town conditions we're in now. It's always been a boom and bust town. We'll be back sooner than most think.

Where do you live that makes it feel like a ghost town? To me SF feels busier than ever outside of some parts of SOMA and FiDi where I rarely went pre pandemic anyway
