Does anyone have a best intro to chess book? I've played my entire life, but have never formally studied the game. (I'm looking to slowly develop a framework so I can teach my kids more formally.)

Check out Jeremy Silman’s “How to Reassess your Chess”. Helped me gain about 300 ELO (1700-2000) but presents a framework that should help people at most skill levels below titled players
