As uniswap is under SEC radar & tornado cash is sanctioned by US govt, it becomes important for devs to think how do they build their smart contracts which interact with others via inheritance or external calls, do you build your contracts upgradeable or not in these scenarios becomes super crucial survival decision

It's a tough call, and really does depend. I used to not like upgradeable out of principle (still don't for certain contracts) but the reality is—even aside from gov't intervention—the tech is changing so fast that having the option to upgrade is beneficial as long as it's done responsibly and transparently.
