No smartwatch currently offers the essential features I desire:

- An always-on e-paper display that is reflective, readable in sunlight, easy to glance at, and less distracting than a bright screen.
- Extended battery life to minimize the number of devices I have to charge, especially when traveling.
- A straightforward and aesthetically pleasing user experience centered on the functionalities I frequently use, such as time display, notifications, music controls, alarms, weather updates, calendar access, and activity tracking for sleep and steps.
- Physical buttons for controlling music playback on my phone without needing to check the screen.
- Customizable options, as it seems writing personalized watch faces for the Apple Watch isn’t feasible, which is surprising given that there were over 16,000 watch faces available for Pebble.
