🤯 Did you know that the Mir Diamond Mine in Siberia, Russia, is one of the largest artificial holes in the world. Located in the city of Mirny, this colossal mine is 525 meters deep and a diameter of 1,200 meters. Discovered in 1955 and operational since 1957, it was a key source of diamonds, mining millions of carats. Although open-air mining ended in 2004, its massive crater remains a stunning reminder of mining engineering in one of the coldest and most remote regions on the planet.
