Are wearables worth it and, if so, which one? Considering getting an Apple Watch but have noticed friends using Oura Rings, Whoop Bands, Garmin or Fitbit trackers and a bunch of other alternative wearables lately.

I tracked sleep using an Oura ring for ~2 years and no complaints. Itโ€™s lacking severely in the fitness department though. Granular and actionable metrics! I use an Apple Watch for gym stuffโ€”outdoor running, strength training, indoor biking, indoor rowingโ€”and it does all these things well.

I have an Oura ring but mainly use it for taking sleep. Also have a Fitbit watch which I use for tracking activities and telling the time(!) I find all the data available to be overwhelming at times.
