Some common problems and solutions with the Cursor + Claude combo below. - Even though the project rules are defined and pinned to context, it neglects to follow them. And even if you tell it to remember in your prompt, it'll still miss the mark. Seems to be fixed by telling it to remember and quote the applicable rules before taking actions. - It suggests redundant code after reading only the task we're focused on. As if it forgot what it developed an hour earlier. One solution seems to be to ask it to scan the codebase for similar functionalities, but not sure how feasible this is with large codebases. - It generates duplicate files throughout a task if the file can't be found in the root directory. I think this just requires knowing what files need to be edited, and sharing the path in every prompt that requires bugfixes. I've heard that logging the file directory in the cursor rules helps.
