Event of the day in history: • On February 24, 1582, Pope Gregory XIII announced the introduction of the Gregorian calendar, which is now used in most countries of the world. • February 24, 2022 is a tragic date for Ukraine. The Russian Federation launched a full-scale invasion that brought war to every corner of the country. This day became a symbol of the indomitability of the Ukrainian people, their struggle for freedom, dignity and the right to a future. Ukrainians proved to the whole world that strength of spirit and unity can resist any aggression. Word of the day: “Freedom is worth fighting for. Truth is worth a voice. The future is worth our efforts.”
