I was too old for Pokemon
And too young for the pet rocks
Too young for N64
And too old for the POGs
But I was just right for Nintendo
And for battle beasts
He-Man and Transformers
And M U S C L E 

It’s strange to owe allegiance 
To products and to brands
Now there is corporations
Where once were religions
It’s trifling and grotesque 
To be what we buy 
But if I’m not these memories
Than really what am I?
