as a biz dev guy the most crucial part in closing a deal or a meaningful conversation is “follow ups” and many folks seem not to appreciate that :/ that is why I always say “consistency & curiosity is a curse” hehe

any guideline on follow ups? do you just check in and ask how one is doing? or more context based to the actual deal?

"have you given up on (insert your last ask / project)?" follow the fbi negotiator. He has some really good techniques on turning a conversation around or reviving cold conversations

"have you given up on" keeps showing up in cold bd emails and I hate it. I don't like the presumption that what they're asking about was ever a priority, and that the reason I didn't respond to their spam couldn't possibly be because of a problem with their outreach but must be my deficiency.
