I find it very fascinating that the “A diamond is forever" campaign De Beers launched in the mid-1900s created the tradition of diamond engagement rings. I always assumed that was how it had always been. Curious if anyone has similar examples of marketing campaigns that have had industry wide impact?

How would you ideally build your closet around these three categories? I think mine would be 10% Fad, 40% Fashion and 50% Classic, but find that this evolves as my lifestyle changes. Curious to see how others view this.
